People HAVE been trying to fight for whatever they believe in, just not hard enough.
It's not because they don't care (for the most part), it's because they've given up hope after trying and only coming across criticism and failure.Lhjunkiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12279343140503892785noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37140249.post-79416247038270376682007-06-08T23:45:00.000+04:002007-06-08T23:45:00.000+04:00I don't think its a case of the average American b...I don't think its a case of the average American being stupid... its just that they don't care.... NOBODY CARES!!

Look all around you; I will scream the Brits are the same, and for sure you will agree the same for pretty much every Tom Dick and Harry out there in Dubai. Why? you ask? Its simple... We have begun to believe in ideals, beliefs, in everything in life which has no more substance than a soap bubble... Everyone is totally obsessed with trends and what is "cool".

No person in today's day and age has the time, or is ready to commit to a cause which is worthy of support - if people cared about the lives of others (including their own loved ones) or if people looked beyond the 2cm "circle of trust" that surrounds them, they would see the rights and wrongs that they could influence in resolving.... but we live in a materialistic world with no concern about anything which would seem "beyond" our scope.... Its not because of lack of trying... mainly because of the "I don't care, none of my business" attitude that we have today.

Don't just look at the Americans - look at everyone around.... if anyone cared - Arabs, Asians, Europeans... SOMEONE COULD have taken A step to stop the war, to mediate and try and make a change.... but why should I? What's in it for me? Its all the same -I don't care-

Until and unless we don't change our attitudes, and influence others in the process... there will never be a resolution...

Don't hold your breath... Nothing will change in this lifetime.Tauqeer Jamadarhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09413578110818645836noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37140249.post-90094421980197480152007-06-08T23:28:00.000+04:002007-06-08T23:28:00.000+04:00I think people in North America have become compla...I think people in North America have become complacent, and that's one of the reasons why we have so few meaningful protests. I think another reason is that the media refuses to cover anything that really *is* meaningful, whether the event itself or protests against it. It's hard to drum up people for a protest if people don't even know there's anything to protest against.Devonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12865288971324327475noreply@blogger.com
